Selva – Val Gardena
Located at 1563 m of altitude and surrounded by the splendid landscape of the Dolomites (Sasso Lungo, Puez Group and Sella Mountain), Selva is one of the most popular holiday destinations in South Tyrol. The 2600 inhabitants of the village of Selva at the end of Val Gardena, attracts nature-lovers with numerous hikes, mountain tours, mountain-bike routes in summer, and kilometres of slopes in winter, as well as numerous alternative winter activities like sledging. However, it's not only the sporty who will enjoy their stay; there are plenty of other offers with regard to art and culture too. Including castles, enchanting chapels, and wood-carving works, which have a long tradition in Val Gardena, and goes back to the beginning of the 17th century.
